The RoleAs Soft Landscaping Lead, you will oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of all soft landscaping works across a diverse range of projects. Working closely with project managers, landscape architects and suppliers, you will ensure planting schemes are delivered to the highest horticultural standards while leading and supporting site teams throughout the establishment process.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of soft landscaping works across residential and commercial projects.
- Interpret planting plans and specifications, ensuring accurate installation and exceptional presentation.
- Manage plant procurement, quality control and supplier relationships.
- Supervise planting operations, ensuring best horticultural practice is maintained.
- Oversee landscape establishment, including irrigation, staking, pruning, feeding and ongoing plant health.
- Diagnose plant pests, diseases and nutrient deficiencies, implementing appropriate management strategies.
- Mentor, train and support horticultural teams.
- Coordinate daily work programmes, labour and resources.
- Maintain clear communication with project managers, landscape architects, clients and suppliers.
- Promote best practice in health and safety across all works.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience within the landscaping industry.
- Significant experience in horticulture, soft landscaping or landscape establishment.
- Extensive knowledge of trees, shrubs, herbaceous perennials, ornamental grasses and seasonal planting.
- Strong understanding of planting design, soil management and plant establishment.
- Proven leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Full clean Irish driving licence.
- PA1 / PA6 certification.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.
- Experience operating horticultural machinery and specialist equipment.h
