What you will do

• Manage and lead a social work team ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people are prioritised.
• Investigate and manage risk in accordance with safeguarding frameworks, ensuring comprehensive risk assessments and informed planning.
• Drive operational service delivery, ensuring thorough decision making processes that incorporate rigorous analysis and professional judgement.
• Provide critical reflection, challenge, and evidence informed decision making in complex situations, while modelling good practice and reflective supervision.
• Collaborate with both internal and external colleagues to co ordinate and enhance service delivery, participating actively in multi agency meetings.
• Handle key decisions related to resource allocation and service closure, ensuring best value delivery of services.
• Oversee the application of performance targets and management processes, promoting team development and handling disciplinary issues.
