What you will do:

• Triage and screen incoming safeguarding referrals, applying threshold criteria to determine appropriate responses
• Undertake timely and proportionate risk assessments to identify safeguarding concerns and levels of need
• Gather and analyse information from partner agencies to inform evidence based decision making
• Participate in multi agency strategy discussions and contribute to safeguarding planning processes
• Ensure accurate, timely case recording in line with statutory requirements and local authority standards

Person Specification

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work (BA/BSc/MA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW)

Registration & Compliance:

• Current registration with Social Work England (SWE)
• Knowledge of key legislation and statutory guidance, including:
• Children Act 1989 and 2004
• Working Together to Safeguard Children (2026)
• Data Protection Act 2018 / UK GDPR
