Social Planning Executive

Key responsibilities and Impact:
- Storytelling will be at the core of your work: the product, the seasons, the campaign mood, current trends, cultural influences, and the creators / influencers who can help us drive our brand forward.
- Develop and lead an organic social publishing strategy for Monsoon Ladies and Children. Use current social trends, platform-specific and account data to inform success metrics and drive audience growth, reach and engagement.
- Owning the organic content calendar for Ladies and Kids. Planning and publishing content for social - weekly and longer-term planning - alongside design, strategy and marketing team members. This planning will be in sync with wider campaign and trading initiatives.
- Responsible for the scheduling and publish of content, and community management of the social media accounts, with a special focus on Instagram. Knowledge of Pinterest and TikTok is required.
- The role will work in lockstep with the paid performance teams, particularly the Digital Executive working across paid social. You will align on concepting, planning and delivering to ensure paid and organic work together and benefit one another. Stakeholders and team members will look to your combined guidance for social planning best practice.
- Confidently owning your ideas and plans, presenting to the head of marketing and other key stakeholders, taking on feedback, and executing ideas to agreed timelines and specifications.
- Taking on marketing creative briefs and developing social-specific ideas that support and amplify activity. This will broadly cover seasonal campaigns, some PR and events, sale activity and loyalty programmes.
- Supporting PR and influencer activity by contributing to creative concepting and planning. Using social to amplify these wider brand marketing efforts.
- Copywriting skill and an understanding of how to write for social media. How to optimise written content in a world where social output is discoverable through Google SEO.
- You will be able to deliver a clear brief to studio and design teams to execute your ideas effectively.
- The ability to read platform insights and bring new ideas, or shifts in tactics, quickly to the attention of senior stakeholders. Weekly reporting for trade meetings on Mondays is a key part of this; listening to buying and web results, then responding reactively to support and drive business priorities.
- You will be responsible for supporting the brand marketing team with administrative tasks such as gifting orders and sample management for press.
- You will be trained and supported to use the finance system CODA and will be responsible for the raising of POs and tracking of spends on social media cost centres.
- You will be asked to attend and represent Monsoon brands at press and influencer events.
Essential Criteria:
- Evidence of managing and affecting organic growth on branded social media accounts (either from scratch or inherited).
- Evidence of planning, producing and delivering content plans that demonstrate attention to detail, sound editorial judgement, accuracy and sensitivity.
- Effective written and verbal communication, good presentation skills.
- Experience managing key stakeholder relationships.
- Knowledge of the fashion industry and a demonstrable interest in how the world of fashion and social media collide creatively and culturally.
- Happy to embrace change and (with support) make changes to working practices that benefit the business.
Desired traits (but not essential):
- Basic Adobe CS image and video editing skills to enable simple executions or edits to be completed efficiently.
- An understanding of AI's capabilities in the world of social creative and cut through, and what it could do for the Monsoon brands.
