Social Care Worker -Special Care North Dublin - AGENCY Social Care Worker required for adolescents in a secure care environment. Job Specification:

• Provide care and support to adolescents from ages 12 - 17 years
• Contribute to the promotion, creation and maintenance of a welcoming and caring environment and to a high standard of child care practice throughout the unit.
• Contribute to the provision of a programme of stimulating activities for the children and young people.
• Ensure that all relevant records within the unit are updated regularly.
• Provide support to young people to engage with educational activities.
• Support young people in maintaining contact and access visits with their family.
• Adhere to the organisational policies and reporting requirements.
• Observe and record observations of the young people in the care of the service.

Person Specification:

• Experience working with adolescents ideally in a residential care/secure care environment.
• Experience working with challenging behaviour is advantageous.
• Relevant degree in Social Care.
• Flexible to work roster arrangement as required.
