About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a large-scale hostel development project. This position is ideal for candidates with a hotel or hospitality construction background, given the technical requirements of the build.

The successful candidate will be highly hands-on, with strong knowledge of construction drawings, project delivery, and site coordination. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile project and see it through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations and ensure works are progressing in line with programme.
• Supervise subcontractors, direct staff, and trades to achieve project milestones.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, ensuring works are carried out correctly.
• Ensure quality standards are achieved, particularly on detailed finishes.
• Oversee health & safety compliance on site.
• Monitor project schedule and budget, reporting progress to senior management.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide practical solutions on-site.
• Liaise with design teams, engineers, and project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in a Site Manager role.
• Previous experience in hotel, hostel, or similar commercial/residential builds highly desirable.
• Proven ability to read, understand, and manage technical drawings.
• Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach to site management.
• Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple trades effectively.
• Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not essential).
