Service Manager- Continuing Health Care & Section 117 Lead

About the CHC and Section 117 role You will play a vital role in ensuring people with complex needs receive lawful, well governed and person centred support. You will work closely with NHS partners, finance colleagues and operational teams to deliver strong decision making, clear accountability and positive outcomes. Our focus is on collaboration, continuous improvement and confident practice, supported by clear governance and professional leadership.

What You'll Do

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for CHC and Section 117 activity across Adult Social Care.
• Ensure statutory compliance with national frameworks, legislation and local protocols.
• Lead on service improvement, quality assurance and practice development.
• Build strong, effective partnerships with NHS colleagues and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee governance, performance management and risk mitigation.
• Support financial oversight, including funding responsibilities and cost control.
• Lead, support and develop staff, promoting confident, consistent and legally compliant practice.
• Ensure people and families experience clear, fair and person centred decision making.

Who We're Looking For

• Substantial experience within Adult Social Care, Health or a related statutory setting.
• Strong knowledge of Continuing Health Care and Section 117 Aftercare.
• Proven leadership and management experience, including leading teams through change.
• A sound understanding of relevant legislation, guidance and national frameworks.
• Confidence in partnership working across health and social care systems.
• The ability to analyse complex information, manage risk and make defensible decisions.
• Excellent communication, influencing and problem solving skills.
