Overview

A Senior Sous Chef is required for a highly regarded food-led coastal inn set in one of Cornwall's most breathtaking seaside locations.

This charming property sits in a spectacular coastal setting, surrounded by dramatic cliffs, sweeping sea views and rugged Cornish countryside.

Known for its relaxed atmosphere and outstanding hospitality, the inn has built a loyal following among locals, travellers and food enthusiasts alike.

The kitchen has earned an excellent reputation for its ingredient-led modern British cooking, with menus that celebrate the finest seasonal produce Cornwall has to offer.

Fresh seafood from the nearby coast, exceptional local meats and carefully sourced ingredients all play a key role in creating vibrant, flavour-driven dishes that reflect the region and the seasons.

The brigade is passionate, professional and committed to delivering consistently excellent food in a welcoming and well-run kitchen environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Senior Sous Chef to play a key role within a respected and ambitious team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality fresh food kitchens, with experience in award-winning gastropubs or restaurants highly advantageous.

You will be a confident and organised chef who thrives in a busy kitchen and shares a genuine passion for seasonal ingredients and modern British cooking.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Lead the brigade during service, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
  • Maintain the highest standards of food preparation and presentation
  • Assist with menu development and seasonal dishes
  • Train and mentor junior chefs within the brigade
  • Help manage stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation
  • Ensure exceptional hygiene and food safety standards are maintained
