School Catering Assistant

Pay Rate: £13.33 per hour

Location: Various Primary & Secondary Schools across Lancashire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 2:00pm

• Assist with the preparation and serving of meals
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Support the catering team to ensure smooth daily service
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Ability to work effectively as part of a professional and motivated team
• Provide details of your two most recent references, covering the last five years of employment
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

• All roles are subject to Enhanced DBS checks, professional references, and (where applicable) Overseas Police Clearances in line with safeguarding policies
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible, with any employment gaps clearly explained
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
• Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and compliance checks
