Senior Software Engineer- Data Platform & JVM

What you'll do

• Design, build, test and maintain software to help with the performance and efficiency of the movement of data between critical Data components.
• Deliver observable, reliable and secure software, adopting you build it you run it mentality, and focus on automation.
• Take an active role in story definition, assisting business collaborators with acceptance criteria.
• Work with Principal Engineers and Architects to share and supply to the broader technical vision.
• Support and mentor less experienced members of the team.

What you'll bring

• Track record of delivering sophisticated, production quality applications applied to performance and FinOps domain.
• Strong experience with data platforms, preferably in the JVM/Pekko ecosystem running on GCP or AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes and Cloud technologies.
• Strong Non-Functional Testing background, with understanding of levels of testing required to continuously deliver value to production.
• Delivery experience within an agile environment using Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
• The demeanour of leading by example and the willingness to work as part of a team.
