Job Description
Senior Site Manager Medical Facility Project Limerick Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain a culture where health, safety, and wellbeing are prioritised above all other considerations.
  • Manage and coordinate all site activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Supervise and manage direct employees, subcontractors, and specialist trades throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and construction information to ensure works are completed in accordance with design requirements.
  • Develop and manage short-term and long-term programmes to achieve key project milestones and completion dates.
  • Oversee quality assurance procedures and ensure all work complies with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges in collaboration with Design Managers, Consultants, and the wider project team.
  • Manage RFIs, technical submissions, and design coordination issues.
  • Attend and lead site meetings, progress meetings, and client coordination meetings.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors, planners, quantity surveyors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with BCAR requirements and quality management systems.
  • Support sustainability and energy management initiatives across the project.
  • Mentor and develop site teams, driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain detailed project records and progress reports.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in construction project delivery, ideally within healthcare, pharmaceutical, commercial, or large-scale residential developments.
  • Previous experience delivering healthcare or high-specification projects would be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors, programme delivery, health & safety, and quality control.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BCAR and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong planning and organisational abilities with a proven track record of meeting project deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Project, or equivalent scheduling software.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Trade background desirable.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
