Job Description
Senior Site Manager Medical Facility Project Limerick Key Responsibilities 
- Lead and maintain a culture where health, safety, and wellbeing are prioritised above all other considerations.
- Manage and coordinate all site activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Supervise and manage direct employees, subcontractors, and specialist trades throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review drawings, specifications, and construction information to ensure works are completed in accordance with design requirements.
- Develop and manage short-term and long-term programmes to achieve key project milestones and completion dates.
- Oversee quality assurance procedures and ensure all work complies with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges in collaboration with Design Managers, Consultants, and the wider project team.
- Manage RFIs, technical submissions, and design coordination issues.
- Attend and lead site meetings, progress meetings, and client coordination meetings.
- Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors, planners, quantity surveyors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with BCAR requirements and quality management systems.
- Support sustainability and energy management initiatives across the project.
- Mentor and develop site teams, driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain detailed project records and progress reports.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in construction project delivery, ideally within healthcare, pharmaceutical, commercial, or large-scale residential developments.
- Previous experience delivering healthcare or high-specification projects would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site management.
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors, programme delivery, health & safety, and quality control.
- Comprehensive knowledge of BCAR and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong planning and organisational abilities with a proven track record of meeting project deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Project, or equivalent scheduling software.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Trade background desirable.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build relationships with clients, consultants, and project teams.
