RANDSTAD has partnered with Impact Children and Education (North East) in seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join their nurturing environment. TasksAs a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be instrumental in providing direct care and support to young people within a residential setting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct care and support to young people in a residential setting.
- Offering guidance and mentorship to junior support staff.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of care plans.
- Ensuring a safe, positive, and stimulating environment for residents.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Upholding high standards of safeguarding and child protection.
- Facilitating engaging activities and promoting personal development.
- Working collaboratively with the care team and external agencies.
We are looking for individuals who possess:
- Min. 3 years of Experience in a residential care setting, or a strong desire to step into a senior role.
- Proven ability to be patient, empathetic, and resilient.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Eagerness to take on more responsibility.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and sleep-ins
- Must hold or be working towards a Level 3 in Children's Residential Care.
- Relevant experience in childcare or a similar field.
- Proficiency in guidance and support techniques.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices.
- A competitive hourly rate of £14.27 during probation, with an increase after probation.
