RANDSTAD has partnered with Impact Children and Education (North East) in seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join their nurturing environment. Tasks

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be instrumental in providing direct care and support to young people within a residential setting. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct care and support to young people in a residential setting.
  • Offering guidance and mentorship to junior support staff.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of care plans.
  • Ensuring a safe, positive, and stimulating environment for residents.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Upholding high standards of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Facilitating engaging activities and promoting personal development.
  • Working collaboratively with the care team and external agencies.
Skills

We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • Min. 3 years of Experience in a residential care setting, or a strong desire to step into a senior role.
  • Proven ability to be patient, empathetic, and resilient.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Eagerness to take on more responsibility.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and sleep-ins
  • Must hold or be working towards a Level 3 in Children's Residential Care.
  • Relevant experience in childcare or a similar field.
  • Proficiency in guidance and support techniques.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices.
