Senior Research Fellow in Neuroscience
Posted 3 hours 37 minutes ago by Technical University of Denmark
As a senior research fellow, you will work in a dynamic and highly collaborative team investigating white matter damage during low blood flow, a condition which leads to dementia.
The role will require the generation of in vivo chronic hypoxia models and subsequent ex vivo and in vitro experiments to investigate the functional changes to white matter which occur during decreased brain blood flow and oxygenation. This will require surgical induction of chronic hypoxia in mice, and electrophysiological and imaging techniques and analysis.
You will be expected to design and perform your own experiments, complementing the work done by other researchers in the lab and in close collaboration with Dr Nicola Hamilton-Whitaker at King's College London. You will write your results for publication in peer-reviewed journals and present the data both internally and externally to the scientific community.
The role will also require you to contribute to the writing of grant applications and supporting the research and development of more junior colleagues within the lab.
Please contact Catherine Hall for informal enquiries.

You should have several publications in peer-reviewed journals based on your previous work and have a strong history of collaborating and supporting less experienced lab members in their work.
