Location: Central London

I have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable main contractor with a turnover exceeding £100m. The role involves being the Commercial Lead on a prestigious project within an existing Private Hospital in Central London.

The company has been established for nearly 30 years and has experienced continuous growth. Initially focused on refurbishment, demolition, and structural alteration packages, they have evolved into a contractor specializing in concrete, groundworks, structural alterations, and complex structural projects.

They now offer comprehensive construction services through their Main Contract Division and Rail & Infrastructure Works Division, supported by their Plant Division. The company values repeat business, flexibility, professionalism, and a high staff retention rate.

The role requires overseeing a circa £20m Design & Build project, including new basement construction, a lift tower, and a theatre suite with a glass atrium at the main entrance. The position is mainly site-based with occasional visits to their North West London offices.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Skills and Experience:

• Leading 2-Stage Tender processes
• Experience with Central London refurbishments
• Knowledge of NEC Contract Option A
• Design and Build project experience
• Healthcare sector experience
• Risk and Opportunity analysis on tenders
• Negotiation of 2nd Stage packages
• Forecasting and profitability management
• Procurement, valuations, and final account management
• Management of Sub-Contractor Accounts
• CVR Reporting
• Liaison with Design Team and Client
• Value Engineering
• NEC Contract Administration
• Experience managing delay implications
• Protection of the company's commercial position
• Adherence to ER / CPs
• Providing contractual advice
