Cloud Solutions Architect

Role Overview
Join a strategic team designing and overseeing scalable, secure IT systems for a cloud-native platform supporting critical energy sector applications.
You will translate business requirements into modular, maintainable architectures focusing on Kubernetes environments and managed services within a hybrid cloud setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and clarify technical requirements
• Design scalable, modular, and maintainable service architectures with documentation and version control
• Incorporate Kubernetes security best practices and consult on vulnerability mitigation
• Build and validate proof-of-concepts (POCs) to verify design feasibility and performance
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or optimizations
• Guide DevOps and engineering teams on architecture and design patterns during implementation
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for all developed services and architectures

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in software and distributed system development to rapidly design and build POCs
• Experience with public cloud platforms (Kubernetes, networking, cloud storage, monitoring)
• Deep knowledge of cloud resource hierarchies and managed services life cycle
• Expertise in Kubernetes-native operators (kubebuilder) and resource management (CRDs, CRs)
• Experience with cloud-native technologies and Kubernetes tooling (microservices architecture, event sourcing, pub-sub, load throttling, performance management)
• Solid understanding of CI/CD workflows, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and GitOps practices
• Proficiency with Controller Runtime library
• Fluent English communication skills (C1 or higher)

Preferred

• Familiarity with test-driven, behavior-driven, and observability-driven development
• Experience with API design, development, and migration
• Knowledge of service discovery mechanisms
• Experience designing RBAC and access control models
