About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Quality Manager to join our growing Civil Engineering team based in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity for a quality professional with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for continuous improvement to play a key role in delivering excellence across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Quality Management function across civil engineering operations and projects.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve Quality Management Systems and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, company standards, contractual requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Lead internal and external audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
  • Analyse quality performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Support project teams in achieving quality objectives and delivering right-first-time outcomes.
  • Investigate quality concerns and oversee corrective and preventative actions.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to quality and operational teams.
About You Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior quality leadership role within the Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, Utilities, or Construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Experience leading audits, compliance programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to influence and drive positive change across operational teams.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
  • Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Quality Management qualification.
  • Experience on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory compliance, and integrated management systems.
