About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Quality Manager to join our growing Civil Engineering team based in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity for a quality professional with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for continuous improvement to play a key role in delivering excellence across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Quality Management function across civil engineering operations and projects.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Quality Management Systems and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, company standards, contractual requirements, and industry regulations.
- Lead internal and external audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Analyse quality performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Support project teams in achieving quality objectives and delivering right-first-time outcomes.
- Investigate quality concerns and oversee corrective and preventative actions.
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to quality and operational teams.
- Proven experience in a senior quality leadership role within the Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, Utilities, or Construction sector.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Experience leading audits, compliance programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to influence and drive positive change across operational teams.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Lead Auditor qualification.
- Quality Management qualification.
- Experience on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory compliance, and integrated management systems.
