About the Role

As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation, operation, and optimization of the organization's Global Wide Area Network (WAN). You will be part of a cross-functional team that collaborates through Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and reviews. Your role will also include reporting, guiding service improvement, and supporting adjacent teams within the department. This position is highly collaborative, involving coordination with external service providers and internal stakeholders. Communication tools, video conferencing, and shared planning boards will be key in keeping everyone aligned.


Responsibilities


  • Implement, configure, and maintain network infrastructure with a strong focus on high availability and security
  • Lead interactions with Cloud and Network Service Providers to maintain service quality
  • Evaluate and develop network designs, ensuring they align with enterprise-grade security and performance standards
  • Provide oversight of network change, incident, problem, and configuration management
  • Drive continuous improvement in network services, processes, and monitoring
  • Serve as a key point of contact between internal users and external service providers
  • Contribute to automation initiatives using Python, Perl, or APIs
  • Ensure technical alignment with security and risk management guidelines
  • Participate in Agile practices including backlog refinement and sprint reviews


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Certifications in networking and/or security (e.g., Cisco, CompTIA, Juniper)
  • Experience with programming or scripting for automation tasks
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English


Required Skills


  • Solid hands-on experience with routing and switching (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, STP)
  • Expertise in SD-WAN and cloud WAN deployments, especially in large-scale enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, load balancers, and access control systems
  • Deep knowledge of WAN and cloud-based networking (equivalent to CCNP level)
  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as Grafana.
  • Automation/scripting proficiency (Python, Perl) and a strong API-first mindset
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and vendor management best practices
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Strong communication, coaching, and people management skills



Pay range and compensation package

  • 4500 - 6500 based on 40 hours work week
  • Holiday pay 8% of gross annual salary;
  • 25 Vacation days + 0.5 bonus day per 6 months if you have remained fit and healthy (read: do not report sick);
  • Travel allowance 23 cents / kilometer;
