Our client is seeking a Senior Manager within their HR department to provide a proactive learning and development service to employees across all offices including their Head Office, Europe, Africa, and Asia. This role is integral to aligning activities with the delivery of the group plan and business objectives. The Senior Manager will lead a team of professionals based in Jersey and South Africa and is expected to manage performance to a high standard, ensuring the successful execution of their strategy. The role will involve developing the firm's brand to enhance the overall employer image, coordinating tailored management and leadership programmes, and ensuring all employees are engaged with the firm's offerings. This position encompasses a range of responsibilities aimed at substantial contributions to the organisational culture and employee development.
Job Duties- Lead the team of professionals to manage performance and ensure delivery of their strategy.
- Develop and enhance the business brand and content to positively influence the reputation as an employer of choice.
- Coordinate the design and delivery of tailored management and leadership programmes.
- Design, develop, and deliver learning and development solutions that encourage professional skill enhancement.
- Create a high-quality induction programme for new starters across all regions.
- Evaluate all business activities to identify trends and provide insights to HR colleagues or managers.
- Maximise the use of technology in learning and development, including the online learning suite.
- Support a performance management culture that values appraisals and assists managers in navigating challenging conversations.
- Collaborate with Group Directors and senior team members in managing talent and succession planning.
- Oversee Professional Qualifications and manage relationships with third-party training providers.
- Handle all administration related to the firm's activities, ensuring smooth operations.
- Contribute to a comprehensive learning and development programme supporting business objectives.
- Act as a subject matter expert in learning and development, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.
- Assist in setting budgets and maintaining awareness of financial implications of activities.
- Analyse data for reports and contribute to reporting as required.
- Build effective working relationships within a multi-jurisdictional HR team to ensure continuity of service.
- Uphold professional standards and confidentiality in handling HR data in line with GDPR.
- Continuously develop personal knowledge in the relevant field.
- Demonstrate core values and expected behaviours consistently.
- Undertake any other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Typically, 5-10+ years of experience in training program design, delivery, and management.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and oversee the development of training staff.
- Expertise in learning theories and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, Agile).
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey training content across different organisational levels.
- Experience in evaluating training effectiveness through metrics, KPIs, and feedback analysis.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CPTM or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP for HR-focused roles.
