On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) for a 12 Months contract based in Derby (3 times per week in the onsite).

Job description - the role

Purpose of the role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of a critical component of a major transformation initiative spanning civil and defense sectors. The program involves implementing new enterprise systems (SaaS and On-Prem).

What you'll do:

• Establish governance frameworks and ensure compliance.
• Manage time, cost, and quality deliverables across multiple projects and releases.
• Oversee risk, issue, and dependency management with proactive mitigation strategies.
• Assure quality and sign-off for third-party Statements of Work.
• Provide accurate reporting and financial oversight to senior stakeholders, including monthly updates to the CFO.
• Coordinate enterprise system implementation and integration with upstream/downstream systems.
• Lead cross-functional workshops for requirements gathering and future releases.
• Manage a Matrix team of approximately 18 members and collaborate with external suppliers and internal IT/business teams.

The skills you'll need:

• Proven track record as a Senior IT Project Manager delivering large-scale transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of APS tools (Advanced Planning & Scheduling) or similar systems.
• Strong knowledge of planning systems and tools in complex environments.
• Expertise in enterprise system implementation and integration.
• Ability to manage Matrix teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
