Senior Full Stack Software Developer - Cwmbran (1 day per week)
Salary: £38,000 - £46,000

The Role
You'll supervise and support a small team of developers, guiding them through project delivery and technical challenges. Working closely with the Lead Software Developer, you'll design, build, and optimise modern .NET applications, APIs, and services - while helping shape the technical direction and standards of the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and training

• Design and develop applications and reusable library code using C#, .NET 8+, MVC/Web API, and SQL Server

• Manage and contribute to multiple concurrent software projects

• Communicate complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Keep up to date with emerging tools, frameworks, and development practices

• Support the introduction of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Key Requirements

• Strong experience in C#, .NET 8+, MVC/Web API, and SQL Server

• Front End skills in HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript/jQuery

• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and Azure DevOps

• Understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and unit testing (xUnit, Moq)

• Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, or Firely API is beneficial

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

You'll be based in Newport with the flexibility to work remotely most of the week - just 1 day per week on-site. Perfect for a senior developer who enjoys hands-on coding and mentoring within a supportive, tech-focused team.
