We're Hiring: Senior Floral Event Designer
Make the extraordinary, everlasting - with us.
At Veevers Carter - part of the Event Concept family - we craft extraordinary floral experiences that leave a lasting impression. As a leading creative artistic florist, we specialise in designing unique event moments for household brands, private clients, and iconic venues across London and beyond.
We're collaborative, down-to-earth, and serious about delivering creative excellence - all while finding time for lightness and fun. If you're someone who's passionate about flowers, design, and delivering exceptional events, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Floral Event Designer to join our talented team. In this role you'll lead the creative, client-facing, and production elements of our floral installations - from concept to execution. You'll work closely with event producers, account managers, project managers, and the wider creative and production teams to deliver show-stopping, commercially viable designs. Whether it's an awe-inspiring large-scale installation or an elegant smaller piece, you'll bring the same energy, creativity, and attention to detail to every brief.
This role is focused on design, concept development, and creative direction rather than hands-on floristry.
You'll Thrive Here If You
- Are a people person with a real passion for delivering creative, unique floral designs for every client
- Are highly skilled in all areas of floristry, including large-scale installations
- Stay ahead of market and design trends, always bringing new and exciting ideas to the table
- Bring equal enthusiasm to both grand installations and smaller installations
- Remain calm, efficient, and productive under pressure in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Have a persuasive and confident approach to creative projects, from pitching to delivery
- Naturally collaborate across teams and disciplines, with a team-player mindset
- Have keen attention to detail and understand the balance between beauty, budget, and commercial viability
- Have a minimum of 3 years' experience working with event flowers and project management
- Are passionate about sustainability and keen to help us achieve our 2030 Net Zero pledge
- Want to develop your voice within the industry, helping grow Veevers Carter's presence and thought leadership in floral design
You don't have to tick every box - we care just as much about curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset as we do experience on paper.
What You'll Be Doing
- Collaborating with event producers, account managers, project managers, and clients to provide creative, strategic design thinking.
- Creating creative, beautifully presented mood boards, plus detailed and accurate quotations within agreed timeframes
- Working closely with project managers to ensure a flow of accurate information to our studio, crewing and transport teams.
- Leading the creative process end to end: conceptual design, quoting, creation, and on-site installation
- Managing budgets closely, ensuring profitability is a core part of decision-making
- Effectively managing multiple stakeholders such as external clients and venues
- Developing and nurturing client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals
- Collaborating with other internal teams, including technical, scenic, and production, to ensure seamless event delivery - recognising that successful events require every element to come together smoothly
- Liaising with prominent venues across London and beyond
- Staying hands-on when required, assisting with the design and complex installations on-site
- Contributing to the broader creative culture within Veevers Carter and Event Concept, sharing inspiration, trends, and insights that elevate our design offering
