Job Title: Senior Financial Crime Business Analyst
Location: Leeds or Bradford
Salary/Rate: £400-£450 per day
Start Date: February
Job Type: 3 month initial contract w/scope to extend

Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Financial Crime Business analyst to join their team for an initial 3 month contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
You will be responsible for demonstrating industry experience in Financial Crime AML and Anti-Fraud rule design and optimisation with relevant knowledge of current Financial Crime risk and mitigation strategies
Collaborate with AML, Fraud and Data teams to review and enhance detection rules and models
Participate in case reviews and contribute to feedback loops for continuous improvement
Conduct scenario testing and threshold tuning to improve detection accuracy
Monitor system performance recommend improvements based on alert conversation rates
Product regular reports on alert volumes, trends and system effectiveness
Document changes to monitoring logic, data sources and rule configurations
Ensure effective documentation and handover of processes, tools and methodologies
Delivery training, walkthroughs and guidance to upskill existing team members
Embed best practices and promote consistency in ways of working across the team

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

Highly driven, independent worker
Strong data analysis skills
Experience working with large datasets and data quality assurance
Ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly with structured documentation to support informed decision making
SQL proficiency
Highly articulate with outstanding communication skills
The ability to effectively transfer skills to internal staff

Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

Preferred - experience of ACI Proactive Risk Management system
