General Manager

Avery Healthcare is one of the UK's largest providers of luxury elderly care homes, committed to creating meaningful experiences for residents and team members. They are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated General Manager to lead and inspire a team at West Wood Care Home in Sheringham.

Job responsibilities

• Deliver excellent person-centred quality care to residents in a safe, caring and stimulating environment, while meeting regulatory requirements, professional and statutory standards, and business performance targets.
• Manage the ongoing recruitment, retention, and development of staff within the Home.
• Act as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in residents' wellbeing.
• Ensure safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained in accordance with occupancy and dependency.
• Provide ongoing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
• Ensure costs are well managed and maintained within budgetary controls, by reviewing regularly and monitoring stock.

About you

• Have a minimum of four years of experience in a similar care environment.
• Have Leadership and Management Level 5 or equivalent.
• Possess excellent leadership and management skills.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and be competent in IT.
• Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Person Specification Qualifications
