Senior Early Years Practitioner

Veritas Education is delighted to be supporting a beautiful independent nursery in Wetherby in the search for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Room Leader.

As a Deputy Room Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the Room Leader with the day-to-day running of the room, leading activities, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained.

• Supporting the Room Leader in the daily management of the nursery room
• Delivering high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework
• Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Supporting observations, assessments, and learning journeys
• Acting as a role model for other practitioners within the room
• Ensuring safeguarding and welfare standards are consistently met
• Contributing to a positive, engaging, and stimulating learning environment

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum requirement)
• Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
• Experience as a Senior Practitioner, Third in Charge, Deputy Room Leader, or Room Leader is desirable
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A proactive and positive approach to supporting children's development
