Veritas Education is delighted to be supporting a beautiful independent nursery in Wetherby in the search for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Room Leader.

As a Deputy Room Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the Room Leader with the day-to-day running of the room, leading activities, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting the Room Leader in the daily management of the nursery room
- Delivering high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework
- Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Supporting observations, assessments, and learning journeys
- Acting as a role model for other practitioners within the room
- Ensuring safeguarding and welfare standards are consistently met
- Contributing to a positive, engaging, and stimulating learning environment
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum requirement)
- Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
- Experience as a Senior Practitioner, Third in Charge, Deputy Room Leader, or Room Leader is desirable
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A proactive and positive approach to supporting children's development
