This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of HSBC's digital transformation. You'll be responsible for shaping and executing the modernisation strategy for our global ATM and Branch platforms, ensuring our self-service channels - ATMs and POS - deliver secure, seamless, and innovative experiences to customers worldwide. As the driving force behind our next-generation banking technology, you'll influence how we deliver services, set new industry standards, and future-proof our customer journeys across multiple geographies.
Your vision and expertise will directly impact the daily lives of millions of our ATM users, keeping HSBC at the forefront of digital banking.
What You'll Do- Lead the global engineering delivery for 40+ ATM and Branch technology applications, managing a $25m budget and a team of 250+ experts.
- Own the technology strategy and roadmap for ATM/Branch platforms, championing cloud, data, API, and event-driven transformation.
- You're a strategist, shaping engineering business decisions and processes, with an in-depth understanding & knowledge of a bank's ATM Network and ATM Platforms - including hardware, software, and switches.
- Drive large scale modernisation programs, ensuring stability, resilience, and a best-in-class customer journey.
- Foster a high-performing, agile engineering culture - mentoring talent and building future ready teams.
- Collaborate with global business and technology leaders to deliver solutions that make a real impact.
- Optimise resources and processes to deliver at pace, with a relentless focus on quality, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Deep expertise in ATM/Branch technology, including ATM switches, hardware/software and integration across multiple markets.
- Past experience in managing and delivering large-scale ATM platforms and leading global ATM teams.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale technology transformation and migration to modern tech stacks.
- Strong people leadership across diverse, global teams and able to inspire, develop and deliver results.
- Experience with DevOps, agile delivery, and engineering best practices.
- Strategic mindset with the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders and drive complex change.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, balancing competing priorities and delivering business-critical outcomes.
