SEN Teaching Assistant - Perfect for Psychology Graduates
A high-performing, Outstanding school in Ealing are looking to fill x5 SEN Teaching Assistant vacancies ahead of a September 2025 start. These SEN Teaching Assistant positions are perfect for Psychology Graduates or Graduates with a keen interest in SEN, Mental Health, Psychology, Therapy, Counselling & more.
Not only will be gaining hands on experience supporting students with SEN and Mental Health, but you will also benefit from:
- Experience working in mainstream lessons
- Experience leading a group of 6 SEN students, offering 1:1 and group support
- The opportunity to work closely with students, as well as liaising with their parents
- Working directly within the Learning & Inclusion team alongside a team of likeminded graduate SEN Teaching Assistants
- Shadowing opportunities with qualified therapists, psychologists and the school's SENCO (SEN Coordinator)
- The opportunity to train as a fully qualified teacher (for free) if you are interested!
The SENCO is keen to appoint graduates with a keen interest in supporting students with additional needs. You will work with students who have mild SEN, typically autism, dyslexia, ADHD and other neurodiverse needs. You will also support students with SEMH needs, such as anxiety, depression, stress and those just simply going through a tough time.
This is a very rewarding role, as not only will it provide you with a springboard of experience but you will genuinely be making a positive impact to the lives of students.
Job Spec - SEN Teaching Assistant
- SEN Teaching Assistant
- Working 1:1 and in groups with students in KS3, KS4 & KS5 (ages 11-18)
- Supportive team with excellent training
- Full time position, term time only.
- Commencing in September 2025
- £24,830 per annum (actual salary for term time only, 39 weeks of the year)
- 08:30 - 16:00 working hours
Candidate Spec - SEN Teaching Assistant
- Bright Graduate with a 1st Class or 2:1 degree
- Strong A Level & GCSEs
- Genuine interest in SEN & Mental Health
- Experience working with children in some capacity beneficial
- Positive, can-do attitude with a solutions based mindset
- Resilient, confident and pragmatic
