SEN Teaching Assistant - Flexible

Role

We are looking for Teaching Assistants to provide both flexible cover and long term support, giving you the choice to work ad hoc or in a consistent placement. In this role you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils' EHCPs
• Support pupils with communication, sensory regulation, and engagement in learning
• Assist with personal care, mobility and physical needs where required
• Help deliver multi sensory, individualised learning activities
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide a cohesive, multidisciplinary approach

You will play a vital role in helping pupils to:

• Build independence and life skills
• Develop communication and interaction abilities
• Engage with learning in a way that is meaningful and rewarding

Who this would suit

• Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants or support staff
• Care or support workers with experience in complex needs
• Graduates in Psychology, Education, or Health & Social Care
• Nursery practitioners looking to specialise in SEND

You will be: Patient, empathetic, and adaptable. Comfortable supporting pupils with complex medical, learning and communication needs. Able to build trusting relationships and provide consistent care. Motivated to develop a long term career within SEND education.
