Security Officer

Provide a visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with local authorities. Carry out all guarding responsibilities while in store, such as:
- Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity
- Assessing and identifying vulnerabilities, working proactively to minimise risk
- Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable
- Managing vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress
- Completing colleague and contractor searches when required in line with customer company policy
- Digitally reporting incidents and using tablets/phones for daily activity planning
- Providing detailed and legible incident reporting to assist the client and local authorities

Shift PatternFriday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am until 10pm
Hourly Rate£13.45
The PersonTo be an effective Security Officer you must be a confident communicator, able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity. You should be welcoming and patient with customers, and capable of handling conflict in a professional manner.
Required Experience and QualificationYou must have a valid SIA licence (guarding or door supervisor). Previous experience in a retail security role is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.
