Position

SECRETARIAL ASSISTANT - Medical Secretarial Team

Band 2 £26,696 - £28,988 per annum pro rata

25 hrs/week

Responsibilities
  • To provide a comprehensive, confidential, efficient, and high quality secretarial and administrative support service to Secretaries and Medical Staff within the Medical Secretarial Team.
  • You will undertake a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and transcribe confidential patient information using a voice recognition system in conjunction with other hospital systems.
Qualifications and skills
  • Appropriate secretarial/administration qualifications or equivalent/training experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency with Microsoft Word would be advantageous.
  • Excellent keyboard skills.

  • As from 1 April 2026 the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be reduced pro rata, with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay is not affected.
