Job Description
The role is a casual, part time Second Chef at Barchester Healthcare, offering flexible working and the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal food while delivering hotel/restaurant standards.
Responsibilities- Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
- Assist in menu development and work with residents to tailor menus.
- Prepare high quality, wholesome dishes using fresh seasonal produce.
- Create a warm, efficient and fun environment for the team.
- Work within budget, complete regular audits and manage stock control.
- Assist in leading and motivating the kitchen team.
Qualifications
- Hold a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in helping lead and inspire a kitchen team.
- Good understanding of nutrition and HACCP.
- Experience working with fresh seasonal food.
- Personable and warm approach with genuine interest in residents' wellbeing.
