School Administrator - Dalry Primary School

Salary: £27,257 - £29,850 (pro rated for part time and sessional)

Working hours: 17.5 per week, 40 weeks sessional; Monday Friday 08 00.

Overview

Dalry Primary School is a diverse and multicultural primary school & nursery located 5 minutes' walk from Haymarket Station. We are seeking a proactive, solution focused School Administrator to join our hard working and committed team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate financial, management information, and budgetary information systems and services for the school.
  • Manage and supervise any administrative support staff.
  • Deliver a wide range of administrative, clerical, secretarial, and general office support services.
  • Provide a professional and welcoming front of house service for the busy school office, maintaining confidentiality and data protection.
  • Work closely with the Head Teacher and wider school staff in a busy environment.
Requirements
  • Experience in office administration, monitoring budgets, recording financial and other records, and computerised information systems.
  • Experience working in a school highly desirable, with knowledge of school processes and information systems.
  • Strong people management skills and ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and willingness to join the PVG Scheme or provide an update check. If living abroad for 3 months in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check required.

Work is through a Victorian building with multiple stairs.
