SC Cleared Infrastructure Virtualisation Engineer - 24-Month Contract - Hybrid in Bristol

Role Overview
In this role, you will implement, maintain, and troubleshoot complex virtualisation environments, ensuring platform stability, performance, and resilience. You'll support infrastructure services across compute, storage, and networking layers while collaborating with technical teams to maintain high availability and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Support VMware ESXi environments including Distributed Virtual Switches, DRS, and DPM.
• Manage VMware vSAN storage platforms across hybrid and all-Flash configurations.
• Maintain VMware vCenter including clustering, HA, and cross-site resiliency.
• Support VMware NSX networking including microsegmentation and cross-site environments.
• Administer VMware Horizon environments including AppVolumes and AppStacks.
• Troubleshoot platform issues across compute, storage, and virtual networking layers.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and document technical solutions.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience working with VMware virtualisation technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with ESXi, vSAN, vCenter, NSX, and Horizon.
• Professional virtualisation certification (eg, VMware VCP) obtained within the last five years.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Competency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Active SC Clearance required.
