We're seeking an experienced SAS Data Engineer to join a long-term public sector transformation programme focused on modernising data platforms and delivering secure, scalable data solutions across SAS and AWS environments.

The Role

You will design and deliver robust data solutions across SAS and AWS, contributing across the full software development life cycle.

Key responsibilities:

• Designing, developing and maintaining SAS-based data and software solutions
• Supporting data acquisition, transformation and management activities
• Working with AWS services to support scalable, secure cloud-based data platforms
• Applying engineering and analytical methods to solve technical challenges
• Contributing across the full SDLC - from design and build to deployment and maintenance
• Delivering high-quality outputs with minimal supervision
• Collaborating with engineers, analysts and stakeholders to meet programme objectives
• Driving continuous improvement and engineering best practice

The Person

We're looking for a technically strong, delivery-focused engineer with cloud exposure.

You will bring:

• 1+ year of relevant professional experience
• Strong understanding of programming concepts and software engineering principles
• Hands-on experience with SAS platforms and data solutions
• Experience working with AWS (eg cloud data services, storage, compute or infrastructure)
• Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
