SAP EWM Consultant - German Speaking - Bern, Switzerland (Hybrid: 60% Onsite, 40% Remote per Week). Start: 10th November 2025 (the client can wait for people with a 1 month notice period). 6 Month Contract (high chance of extension).

Our client based in Bern, Switzerland requires an SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) Consultant for a 6 month assignment with a high chance of further extension. They are planning one of the largest SAP S/4HANA business transformations in Switzerland.

In an agile organisation based on SAFe, IT works very closely with the business to develop joint solutions. This makes work easier and shortens communication channels.
As a so-called Digital Solution Rolling Stock (DSO ROS), we use our digital solutions to support robust, innovative and modern maintenance and management of rolling stock throughout the asset life cycle. Our approximately 180 employees from three agile release trains (ART) with several teams support around 30 SAP, 40 non-SAP and 10 analytics/diagnostics applications for 5,500 users. The Agile Release Train ARTistik focuses on planning, control, material management, quality management and sales (SAP MM, SD, WM/EWM, PP, PM, IBP). Together, we ensure that our rolling stock does not come to a standstill.
In this role, you will be part of a BizDevOps team and actively help shape the future integration into the S/4HANA solution.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must have at least 5 years of experience in customising SAP EWM.
• Must have very good knowledge of S/4HANA SAP Supply Chain knowledge within SAP EWM
• Must have completed at least 4 full life cycle implementations of SAP EWM
• Experience in performing data migrations with a focus on inventory data from SAP ERP (MM/IM)
• Strong understanding of complex logistics processes in goods receipt, goods issue, production supply and inventory
• Very good analytical and conceptual skills as well as quick comprehension.
• Agile mindset (SAFe/Scrum) as well as a high degree of initiative and a structured approach to work.
• Ability to explain and present topics for which you are responsible.
• Good knowledge of Confluence, Jira and O365.
• Communicative, open and resilient personality.
• Experience in working with interdisciplinary teams and the ability to think outside the box.
• Proactive and independent personality.
• Empathetic manner, active and open to a direct feedback culture.

Nice to have but not mandatory:

• Experience in implementing production supply with EWM/DM is an advantage
• Knowledge of MM and TM is an advantage

Main Tasks:

• Advising on the design of efficient, sustainable and future-oriented logistics processes.
• Defining warehouse structures and master data in workshops based on the location-specific warehouse layout.
• Defining optimised warehouse processes for goods receipt, goods issue and production supply in workshops based on the location-specific warehouse layout.
• Customising warehouse processes based on technical specifications (data fact sheet).
• Document the necessary artefacts in SAP Focused Build (functional and technical specifications).
• Ensure communication with the relevant stakeholders in the work organisation, such as product owners, scrum masters and test managers.
• Prepare and execute the cutover for go-live.

Languages:

• Must be fluent in both German & English

Remote Work:

• 60% onsite per week
• 40% remote per week

Workload:

• Start ASAP from the 10th November 2025.

• End Date: 30th June 2026 with a high chance of further extension
• You can work 4 or 5 days per week
• 8 hours per day
• Must be willing to travel up to 80 km to other plant locations when required.
