Job Description

We're looking for a passionate, experienced, and motivated Salon Manager to lead our friendly and professional team at If you're a qualified stylist (Level 3 or above) with a flair for leadership and a love for delivering exceptional client experiences, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

This is a full-time role, working a minimum of 36.5 hours per week, within a well-established, family run salon that prides itself on professionalism, teamwork, and outstanding customer care.

About the Role

As Salon Manager, you'll play a key role in the smooth day to day running of the salon while inspiring your team to perform at their best. You'll combine your technical expertise with strong leadership skills to maintain high standards, grow client loyalty, and create a welcoming, vibrant environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the salon to ensure efficiency and excellent service
  • Plan and manage staff schedules, taking into account busy periods and seasonal trends
  • Maintain optimal stock levels by ordering products as needed
  • Ensure the salon meets all hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety standards
  • Promote services, products, and special offers across social media platforms
  • Lead, support, and motivate the team, fostering a positive and collaborative culture
  • Provide training and guidance to enhance team performance and client satisfaction
  • Deliver high-quality consultations and professional advice to clients
  • Encourage repeat bookings and build strong client relationships
  • Maintain salon security and remain vigilant against theft or fraudulent activity
What We're Looking For
  • Level 3 (or higher) qualified hairstylist with proven salon experience
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify improvements and implement solutions
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional with excellent communication skills
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Strong knowledge of colouring techniques and advanced hairdressing skills
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with Goldwell products
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Committed to maintaining health and safety standards
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.) and good numeracy
Technical Skills
  • Cutting, trimming, and styling using clippers, scissors, razors, and trimmers
  • Applying colouring techniques, including foiling
  • Performing chemical treatments such as straightening and curling

Income :

Starting salary of £27k per annum, plus profit share and department bonus opportunities.
