Modality PartnershipSt Helens division has a vacancy for a Salaried GP (Minimum 4 sessions a weekand must commit to 2 sessions on a Friday). The postholder will be passionateabout patient care working at Haydock Medical Centre and occasional at OldWhint Road Surgery contributing to the innovation within the partnership in theway care is delivered. Salary for this role is subject to experience.

Main duties of the jobThe role is apatient centred role delivered from your nominated practice site. Thepostholder will need to confidently evidence key skills such as excellentverbal and written communication skills, clinical skills and empoweringpatients to manage their individual health conditions. The usual duties of asalaried GP will be expected patient care through regular appointments, homevisits and the general administration for patient care. The postholder willwork in collaboration with their local practice team, engaging the use of theassociated roles that are be attached to the practice.

Person Specification Experience- We are able to accommodate salaried GPs with all types of experience in primary care. Your personal development plan will be built with you, dependant on your level of experience and your aspirations within primary care.
- GMC registered.
- CCST for primary care in the UK.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- On the UK performers list for primary care.
- Current valid driving licence/access to a car.
- Pleasant and supportive personality.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
- Smart appearance.
- Resourceful.
- Flexible & Adaptable approach to work including being available to provide cover as required.
- Eligible to practice independently as a GP in the UK.
- Full GMC Registration to practice as a GP.
- Entry on the Medical Performers List.
- Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery.
- Interest/qualification in medical education/GP training.
- Good understanding of the transforming landscape of primary care, new roles and the value of multi-professional teams.
- General understanding of the GMS contract.
- A good understanding of QOF.
- An understanding of GP commissioning.
- A good understanding of Patient Choice.
- IT skills (MS Office, Internet etc) able to competently use all basic IT software.
- IT skills (Use of Clinical Systems) experienced in use of a primary care clinical software system, preferably SystmOne and other remote consultation technology.
- IT skills (systems and software) able to independently problem solve to enable effective remote working and minimise disruption to working day.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Time Management.
