Job Opportunity: Scrutineer

Core Services and Expectations
  • Check the final proofs of the question paper(s) without referencing the mark scheme(s) to ensure clarity, answerability within the allotted time, and absence of errors or omissions.
  • Review the question paper(s) as directed and appropriate.
  • Verify that the mark scheme(s) accurately reflect the questions and are consistent with the question paper(s).
  • Prepare and submit a report to the Content Production Manager.
Experience and Qualifications Needed
  • Substantial subject knowledge and expertise within the sector.
  • Significant experience in delivering and assessing vocational qualifications.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in assessment of vocational qualifications.
Competencies Required
  • Understanding of the educational landscape and regulatory requirements for qualifications.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant specifications in the area of expertise.
  • Ability to edit materials for grammatical accuracy and suitability.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, IT, and interpersonal abilities.
