RQ (JS) - YOS Officer

In this role, you will work directly with children, young people, and their families to reduce offending and prevent reoffending. You'll play a key part in delivering impactful interventions, supporting rehabilitation, and helping young people build safer, more positive futures.

• Manage and supervise young people through court orders and community sentences
• Prepare high-quality Pre-Sentence and court reports in line with National Standards
• Deliver interventions that support behaviour change and reduce reoffending
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders
• Undertake risk assessments and develop effective intervention plans
• Promote restorative justice approaches, considering both young people and victims

• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, or Criminal Justice
• At least 2 years' experience working with vulnerable or at-risk young people
• Strong understanding of youth justice legislation and risk assessment
• Excellent communication, organisation, and report-writing skills
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and work effectively under pressure
