Job Description
In this role, you will work directly with children, young people, and their families to reduce offending and prevent reoffending. You'll play a key part in delivering impactful interventions, supporting rehabilitation, and helping young people build safer, more positive futures.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise young people through court orders and community sentences
- Prepare high-quality Pre-Sentence and court reports in line with National Standards
- Deliver interventions that support behaviour change and reduce reoffending
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders
- Undertake risk assessments and develop effective intervention plans
- Promote restorative justice approaches, considering both young people and victims
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, or Criminal Justice
- At least 2 years' experience working with vulnerable or at-risk young people
- Strong understanding of youth justice legislation and risk assessment
- Excellent communication, organisation, and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work effectively under pressure
