The Room Manager has a duty of care for all children placed in their care and overall management within the room.
The Room Manager is responsible for the overall management within the room to ensure legal and curriculum requirements are met in line with Inspire Montessori Schools policies and procedures.
They are responsible for ensuring all staff prepare and supervise suitable activities to create a stimulating environment, providing high-quality childcare and maintaining a professional and positive atmosphere for children and staff.
They must communicate with management regarding activities and progress, and coordinate short and medium-term planning to meet curriculum requirements and business needs.
Good communication skills are essential, including listening, questioning, understanding, and responding to children, young people, and colleagues.
The role involves working as part of a multi-agency team, understanding your role and the roles of other professionals, sharing information timely, and working collaboratively for children's safety and well-being.
The Room Manager may need to step into a Deputy Head role during absences due to holiday, training, or sickness.
Knowledge of occupancy and needs within the rooms is required, along with developing marketing strategies for the nursery as agreed with management and Directors.
Building positive relationships with partners, developing recommendations from audits, and supporting the management team with planning to meet curriculum requirements are also key responsibilities.
A good understanding of child development is essential to meet children's individual needs.
Responsibilities include communicating with management about activities and progress, ensuring staff complete necessary tracking, and creating a positive environment based on Early Years & Montessori principles.
Wembley Park Montessori is recruiting an experienced Baby Unit Manager for their nursery of 36 places.
This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, working shifts between 8 am and 6 pm, with at least one half-day off per week.
Salary ranges from £24,960 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Daily responsibilities include leading and working with the team, caring for children, ensuring their needs are met, observing and planning for development, and maintaining compliance with legislation and policies.
Applicants should have at least Level 3 in Childcare or Montessori Diploma, experience leading a nursery room with children under 5, and strong knowledge of the EYFS. A current DBS is essential. Experience in Montessori settings is preferred but not required.
