The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) plays a vital role in keeping Britain's roads safe and efficient. We are responsible for the registration and licensing of drivers in Great Britain and vehicles across the UK, as well as the collection and enforcement of Vehicle Excise Duty (VED). Our work ensures that only qualified drivers and correctly taxed vehicles are on the road.

By joining our team, you will become part of the wider Operational Delivery Profession (ODP). This is the largest and most diverse professional community across the Civil Service as it applies to all public facing roles, or roles that are primarily aligned to supporting the work of those with public facing roles. It's an exciting and fulfilling profession to work in, critical to the delivery of UK public services

Play a key role in protecting the integrity of the Registered Number Plate Supplier (RNPS) scheme by promoting and monitoring compliance. The role supports fair and consistent enforcement by providing guidance to suppliers, completing audit checks and preparing cases where required, and working in line with data protection, legislative and health and safety requirements. This role is undertaken in a people focussed environment that champions recognition, involvement, development and support for all, and is performed in line with Civil Service values.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:

  • Audit registered number plate suppliers
  • Work with enforcement agencies to support operations that expose illegal practices
  • Collaborate with colleagues to organise and carry out regional and national group audits
  • Prepare case files by gathering evidence and witness statements
