Gowrie Contracts are a leading demolition and enabling works contractor operating throughout Scotland, delivering complex demolition, dismantling, site clearance, remediation, and enabling projects across the commercial, industrial, public sector, and residential sectors.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are seeking an experienced and driven Contracts Manager to join our team based in Dundee.
The RoleAs Contracts Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple demolition and enabling works projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will work closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors, and senior management to manage project performance from pre-deconstruction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple demolition and enabling works contracts simultaneously.
- Lead project planning, programming, and resource allocation.
- Preparation of RAMS, plant and labour
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, local authorities, and stakeholders.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance.
- Conduct regular site visits, progress reviews and safety inspections/audits
- Manage subcontractors and supply chain partners.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Support tendering and pre-construction activities where required.
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management.
- Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background preferably in demolition and enabling works or related construction sectors and possess excellent leadership and commercial management skills.
