RFP Project Manager 50% - Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Tool
Project:
Our client is seeking a skilled and structured Project Manager for a temporary, part time assignment (50%, 3-6 months) to lead the identification, evaluation, and selection of a Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) solution. The role will drive the structured engagement of key functions - Compliance, Procurement, Credit Risk and others as appropriate - and will be responsible for delivering a clearly defined Statement of Work (SoW) and managing a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) process to support tool selection. Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and execute the full project life cycle for TPRM tool selection within the agreed timeline and scope.
* Lead structured stakeholder engagement across Compliance, Procurement, Credit Risk, Legal, and IT Security to gather and validate functional and technical requirements.
* Document and consolidate business requirements into a clear and actionable Statement of Work (SoW).
* Conduct a market scan to identify suitable data source providers to be linked to the TPRM solution and prepare a targeted vendor longlist.
* Launch, and manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including:
- Review RFP documents and shortlist
- Coordinating Q&A sessions with vendors
- Organizing tool demonstrations and proof-of-concepts
- Defining evaluation criteria and leading scoring workshops
* Design, launch and manage the RFP for data sources including:
- Set up a RFP document and shortlist
- Coordinating Q&A sessions with vendors
- Organizing tool demonstrations and proof-of-concepts
- Defining evaluation criteria and leading scoring workshops
* Ensure the future tool meets group-wide needs for:
- Compliance (eg, due diligence, ESG, sanctions screening)
- Procurement (eg, supplier onboarding, segmentation, integration with SAP Ariba)
- Credit Risk (eg, financial data integration, exposure tracking)
- Info Sec (NIS2 requirements)
* Align outcomes with the strategic priorities, risk management framework, and digital roadmap.
* Provide regular updates to the project sponsor and steering committee, including risks, dependencies, and status.
* Deliver a final recommendation report and executive briefing deck at the end of the project.
Required Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years of experience in project or program management, preferably involving technology selection or digital risk initiatives.
* Proven experience in managing cross-functional stakeholder engagement and translating input into formal project deliverables.
* Familiarity with Third Party Risk Management, regulatory risk, and supplier life cycle processes.
* Strong experience in drafting SoWs and managing RFPs end-to-end.
* Solid understanding of risk-related domains: compliance, procurement, and/or credit risk.
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage a part time, deadline-driven project.
* Fluent in English; German or Swiss German is a plus.
