39 per week- 7.45pm - 6am Monday - Thursday (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each night).

You will be expected on occasion to work overtime and/or weekends as business needs require.

Must work 3 months on day shift before moving to nights
Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm, Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm (41.5 hours)
Day rate: £21.96 per hour

Key Objectives

Tiger Trailers are looking for an experienced Repair Bay Supervisor to work within our onsite Vehicle Maintenance Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in Trailer Repairs and Maintenance. Including a strong understanding of electrics and hydraulics. A proven track record working in a repair environment and managing a team is essential.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
  • Carry out safety checks in line with company and legal requirements.
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and apply effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and compliance documentation.
  • Work to deadlines to minimise vehicle downtime.
  • Support colleagues in the workshop, sharing knowledge and best practice.
  • Adhere to health & safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Key skills and experience

This role is ideally suited to a hands on, organised, proactive and self-motivated individual. Suitable candidates will have:

  • Qualified HGV Technician / Mechanic (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is desirable).
  • Proven experience in commercial vehicle repair & maintenance.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of HGV systems, including hydraulics, brakes and suspension is essential.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and able to interpret wiring diagrams.
  • A current HGV Licence (Class 1 or 2) desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
