Job Description

Sylviancare Tonbridge & Tunbridge Wells is a growing domiciliary care provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care across Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. We are seeking an experienced and driven Registered Manager to lead our service, build strong structures from the ground up, and ensure compliance with CQC standards while supporting the development of a dynamic, compassionate team.

Duties
  • Act as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring full compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and relevant regulations.
  • Manage the day to day operations of our Home Care Service, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained for all residents.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of Service Users
  • Recruit, train, and develop a new care team, ensuring safe recruitment practices and a strong culture of care.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, healthcare professionals, and community organisations to establish Sylviancare reputation locally.
  • Implement robust systems for care planning, rostering, and quality monitoring.
  • Supervise and support staff, providing guidance and training as necessary to enhance their skills in assisted living and nursing care.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as local authority guidelines.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the quality of care provided, ensuring services are safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well led.
  • Oversee care assessments, care planning, and risk management processes.
  • Monitor service performance through audits, feedback, and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Manage budgets effectively and ensure financial viability of the service.
  • Lead by example to promote a culture of dignity, respect, and inclusion for service users and staff.
  • Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and ensure all statutory requirements are met.
  • Provide clear leadership, supervision, and support to staff, fostering professional development and retention.
  • Prepare for and manage CQC inspections.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager in domiciliary care.
  • Previous or current CQC & Ofsted Registration
  • Experience of complex care including learning disability and autism
  • Strong track record of setting up or significantly developing a new care service/startup.
  • In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance, and inspection frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in recruiting, developing, and retaining care teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care
  • Must be driving and have full UK Driving license
Desirable
  • Business development experience, particularly in securing care packages and building sustainable growth.
  • Knowledge of the local area and community networks in Kent
  • Previous experience as Registered Service manager for Ofsted
