About the Role
Were looking for a dynamic and dedicated Registered Manager to lead one of our eight Childrens Homes, this role is based in Exeter. Youll be at the heart of a committed team within Devons Childrens Social Care, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for children and young people.

We are excited to opening a new children's home in Exeter and keen to build a new team with your support.
Main duties of the jobAs Registered Manager, youll:
- Lead and inspire a team to deliver outstanding care and support.
- Ensure the home operates in line with individual care plans and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with professionals across services to achieve the best outcomes.
- Champion a child-centred approach and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
What Were Looking For
Were seeking a proven leader with:
- Experience managing a childrens home and creating a warm, welcoming environment.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and management skills.
- A deep understanding of high-quality care, safeguarding, and quality assurance.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Childcare legislation, Ofsted regulations, and the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015.
- A QCF Level 5 diploma (or willingness to undertake it).
- A full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and business insurance.

Person Specification Qualifications- Diploma Level 5 qualification which meets Ofsted standards (or
- in progress) e.g. Leadership & Management in Social Care.
- Relevant professional qualification in Health or Social Care.
- D1 Bus Driver or willingness to achieve.
- Experience of managing a delegated budget.
- Experience in managing a staff group.
- Knowledge of children with additional needs including physical and learning disability.
- Knowledge of Children's Home Registration standards.
- Knowledge of children's safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of information sharing and governance policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of medication management.
- Knowledge of carers issues, including legal framework.
